Professor Named Exemplary Teacher for 2013-14

Mildred M. Maldonado-Molina, Ph.D., associate professor of health outcomes and policy, was named an Exemplary Teacher for the 2013-14 academic year by the University of Florida College of Medicine.

“It is such an honor to be recognized for providing training to the next generation of health outcomes and policy students and scholars,” said Maldonado-Molina, who is also the department’s director of Health Outcomes and Policy Training and Education.

As part of the program, Maldonado-Molina will be invited to the annual Medical Education Reception on April 8, 2015. This event recognizes professors who have made outstanding contributions toward creating a dynamic and innovative learning environment for students.

“Mildred’s excellence in education has been demonstrated time and again,” said Betsy Shenkman, Ph.D., professor and chair of the Department of Health Outcomes and Policy. “Not only is Mildred integral to our own programs, but she also is a CTSI Master Mentor and she provides guidance to early career scholars as a board member with the Society for Prevention Research. We are so proud of her efforts to provide a rigorous education to those starting out in our field.”
