Alana Christou, academic program coordinator for the department of health outcomes and policy, and Gina Eubanks, a current Ph.D. student and research coordinator in the department, successfully completed a two-day recruiting effort at AcademyHealth’s Annual Research Meeting in San Diego, Calif., from June 8-10.
“I think it was a great opportunity to spread the word about our graduate programs and the research we do in the department,” said Christou, who noted they gave away all their journals. “I also think it was great for Gina to be there with me to offer the perspective of a student as well as an employee who works on multiple projects with the department.”
They spoke with both undergraduate and current graduate students who are thinking through their next steps, as well as researchers in the field of health services and policy research.
